Every unit in Murlidhar Ratanlal Group is well equipped with Quality Control Departments. The SQC or Statistical Quality Control Department of Hastings Jute Mill and Kajaria Yarns & Twines Ltd. is facilitated by the presence of qualified personnel, modern equipment for testing the physical and chemical properties of jute yarn and fabric and a computerised reporting system. The Quality Control Department of Hastings Jute Mill is a member of The Indian Jute Industries Research Association (IJIRA) and takes every advantage of its quality testing system. It also utilises their consultancy services in case of any necessity.The quality control personnel in the Mill have a good rapport with IJIRA, and they gain a lot from this. They benefit themselves through participation in the conferences organised by the IJIRA from time to time where the results of various Research & Developments are presented. The knowledge acquired in this regard is utilised in the developmental activities of the Group to improve quality and economise operation.

The Management strictly follows the Pollution Control measures, as laid down by the Government. Hastings Jute Mill Dispensary even serves the outsiders in case of emergency, Mill’s drinking water tap is also open to the local people to supplement the Municipal supplies.
